The year is 1274. With the Mongols poised to invade Japan and the island of Tsushima needing every available warrior, groups of prisoners from the mainland end up conscripted to serve on the front lines. Jinzaburou Kuchii is one such prisoner, and with just his own previous wartime experience along with a small band of followers he must find a way to triumph against overwhelming odds.
