Free Life Fantasy Online’s third entry is much the same as the previous one: Roughly half’s devoted to game mechanic waffling, with a quarter focusing on food/cooking and the remaining quarter dealing with actual event development.
Simply put there are a lot of issues with this series, yet for some reason reading it doesn’t end up a chore. Not sure why, but I’ll likely keep following it until either the food elements begin to outweigh the game mechanic exposition or what few events there are develop in an unpleasant manner.
The sixth volume of TRPG Player ga Isekai Saikyou Build o Mezasu (which is the seventh book in the series) is almost wholly focused on the protagonist’s long awaited journey home. Which, due to his chronic bad luck, ends up peppered with multiple troublesome encounters alongside the temporary addition of a potential love interest. Everything is paced well, we finally get reunited with the supposed main heroine, and the short story at the end appears to be an apology for introducing the previous novel‘s heroine so late.
