Full Clearing Another World under a Goddess with Zero Believers #1-4

Shinja Zero no Megami-sama to Hajimeru Isekai Kouryaku is a potpourri of a number of elements that may be familiar; the general setup from Arifureta (minus the bullying), the goddess relationship from Saihate no Paladin, and the grind-obsession from Hell Mode.

It’s an interesting mix that works surprisingly well for the most part, at least as far as the first four books (The Weakest Mage in Class, The Girl Who Reincarnated as a Calamity, Coldhearted Princess Carved of Ice, & Death-Shrouded Priestess of a Ruined Land) are concerned.

Issues would be the lack of explanation regarding the magic mechanics (some aspects are extrapolated easily enough, others not so much), the protagonist’s somewhat inconsistent/oddball personality, the general forward progression being rather bumpy, and how the author appears to have forgotten that Aya is supposed to be a lamia. There’s also some potential red flags in both the fanservice surrounding the prince and steadily increasing number of love interests… not to even mention the apparent conflation of marijuana and opium.

Could go either way at this point.
