Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria: The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar

Whisked to an alternate dimension after investigating an urban legend, Yuuto Suou has spent the past two years studying battle tactics and getting acquainted with both this world’s system of magic and its various factions. Now he stands as ruler of the Wolf clan, and is poised to lead them to victory over their enemies through the use of Earth’s accumulated military knowledge.

A Bronze Age warfare-focused harem series with a slight Norse theme. It features a large amount of comic relief and occasional bursts of drama.

Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro

Mostly due to her habit of staying up all night to play video games, Chio Miyamo often finds herself rushing to school in the morning. Worse, some new obstacle or situation inevitably appears along the way that forces her into adopting tactics from those same games in order to get by.

An absurdist gag comedy focused on situational and reaction humor which features occasional bursts of concentrated ecchi.

Lupin Sansei: Part5

While the times may change, the notorious thief Lupin III and his friends Jigen Daisuke and Goemon Ishikawa, along with the mercurial Fujiko Mine, stay the same. Whether the target is a bank vault or digital currency stashed on a secure server, they’ll stop at nothing to complete the heist… even if the whole world is watching while they do it.

A stand-alone continuation of the 2015 Lupin series, with a similar mix of episodic and overarching stories.

FULLMETAL PANIC!: Invisible Victory

After once again thwarting Amalgam’s schemes Sousuke and Chidori have returned to their everyday student life. This peace is short-lived, as Leonard Testarossa soon re-appears with a warning: Amalgam is through playing, and no longer has any restrictions on using direct and overwhelming force to achieve their goals.

An action-drama with thriller elements which picks up shortly after the events of The Second Raid. It requires familiarity with the first series at the very least in order to comfortably follow the developments.

DARLING in the FRANXX

On a devastated world where vicious beasts roam the wilds, children called ‘parasites’ are grouped into male-female pairs in order to pilot the giant robots which keep the remaining bastions of civilization safe. Having failed the piloting test Hiro believes his life is over, but as one of the beasts attack the parasites’ graduation ceremony he suddenly gets a second chance when the mysterious horned beauty Zero Two accepts him as her ‘darling’.

A romantic action drama with a moderate amount of comic relief (often ecchi-centric) and large number of sexual double entendres.

BLADE RUNNER: BLACK OUT 2022

The creation of Tyrell Corporation’s Nexus-8 line of replicants, which lack the limited lifespan of the earlier series, causes a massive backlash among the populace. With numerous Humanity First movements springing up to hunt down and destroy replicants using the corporation’s public registration listing, some decide to fight back by forming a plan to wipe out all traces of the registration data with the help of a targeted nuclear strike.

An action-focused mini-sequel to the movie Blade Runner which helps set the stage for the movie Bladerunner 2049.

With Chulan Zhang’s presence having been revealed to the rest of Outsider society, various factions begin maneuvers to claim the source of his power for their own. They decide to hold the Great Taoist Festival as a means of singling him out, a plan which Jing Lu disrupts by declaring that the victor of the tournament will be rewarded with his secret Stairway to Heaven technique.

A continuation of the previous Hiori no Shita series weighted more toward action. You’ll have to watch that first to see how the characters are related.

HAPPY KISS!: Binan Koukou Chikyuubouei-bu

The previous members of the Earth Defense Club have long ago, or perhaps not so long ago, graduated from high school and the club is now populated by a new group of students much like the old ones. Also much like their predecessors, while relaxing at the bathhouse they’re suddenly visited by a talking animal who presses them into service as Magic Knights!

A series with a fondness for bathhouse scenes that’s part observational/philosophical comedy and part 4th wall-breaking magical girl parody. Thematically identical, plot-wise it’s completely independent from the first three works in the franchise.
