Due to a twist of fate, the recently orphaned novelist Subaru Mikazuki ends up living together with an abandoned cat wary from time spent on the streets. With neither being particularly sociable their initial relationship is an awkward one, yet as time goes by the small actions of day-to-day life together begin to add up to something more.

A pet-centric daily life comedy with minor dramatic elements. Note that part of each episode is a retelling of events from the cat’s point of view.

TV Anime: Meiji Tokyo Renka

Roped into participating in a magic show one evening, Mei Ayazuki suddenly awakens to find herself in what appears to be the Meiji era. Having grown up isolated from those around her as a result of being able to perceive spirits, she’s shocked to discover that here in this time period her ability is not only recognized but in fact greatly prized by the assortment of stylish men she finds herself surrounded by.

A partly episodic history-centric romantic comedy with a few harem elements and tertiary dramatic aspects. It’s an alternate version of the previously released movies centered on a different suitor.

GODZILLA: Kessen Kidou Zoushoku Toshi

The passage of 20,000 years has changed the Earth into an unrecognizable alien landscape inhabited by hostile life forms of all varieties. Yet something similar to humanity persists, and even though Godzilla’s destruction won’t restore the planet to its former state Sakaki Haruo is determined to continue his quest for revenge.

Picks up immediately from where Kaijuu Wakusei left off, trading the dramatic aspects for exposition while reducing the amount of action in favor of expanding the religious theme and introducing a few small romance elements.

In a future where magic use is commonplace Hitomi Tsukishiro grew up in a family of mages to become withdrawn and uncomfortable with magic, eventually even losing her ability to perceive colors. Believing the source of her problems is related to a lack of personal relationships, her grandmother sends her 60 years back in time with the hope that she’ll regain her sense of color by finding someone there to connect with.

An often comedic coming of age story with a secondary focus on romance and a few dramatic elements.

Yuu Koito has never really understood the concept of romantic feelings well enough to experience them herself. So after becoming friends with the student council member Touko Nanami, who has been the recipient of more than a few love confessions, she decides to ask her about them. To Yuu’s surprise, Touko responds by confessing to her.

A highschool yuri romance with moderate comedic aspects and a small amount of drama.

Students from each of two feuding countries both attended the Dahlia Academy Boarding School. Yet despite their homelands’ hostilities, Romio Inuzuka of the Black Doggy dorm and Juliet Percia of the White Cats’ have fallen in love and must now do their best to hide their relationship from the other students at the school.

A reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet as a school-life romantic comedy with periodic bursts of drama. It features a large amount of slapstick humor alongside secondary action and ecchi elements.

Double Decker!: Doug & Kirill

Lisvalletta’s special crime investigation unit pairs its officers up together using a system dubbed “Double Decker” to increase their effectiveness against the various criminal elements peddling the exceedingly dangerous illegal drug “Anthem”. Kirill Vrubel, an aspiring hero, has just recently joined the unit and ends up partnered with the idiosyncratic veteran officer Doug Billingham… a pairing far more effective than it initially appears.

A police procedural action-comedy with minor dramatic aspects taking place in the same universe as Tiger & Bunny. Watching requires no prior familiarity with the franchise.
